Stones and Walls with Style™ |
Whether your project involves pavers or walls, proper planning is essential to a successful project. If you have decided to do the job yourself, draw up a diagram of the work area on graph paper. Be sure to include all measurements that will be helpful with calculating the materials needed for the job. It is always best to check with your local building department to see if a permit is necessary…especially if building a retaining wall along property lines. Now is also a good time to call your local utility company and ask them to mark any underground cables or pipes in the work area. This service is usually free but may take as long as a week. Visit your Pavers by Ideal® Authorized Dealer with the sketch to make your final selection of paver or wall style and color. Discuss the pattern and shapes you have chosen. Their trained staff can answer questions, assist you with ordering the proper amount of pavers or wall units, edge restraint and other items needed, and arrange for prompt delivery. They can also help you with obtaining other materials, such as sand and gravel, tools and equipment that may be necessary to complete your project.
